"Eduard Khil (Эдуард Хиль) is the original performer of many Soviet 60’s songs, such as: “Лесорубы” (“Woodcutters”), “Песня о друге” (“Song about a Friend”). His manner of singing is unique: a bright, perfect and everlastingly clear lyrical baritone with a lively charge of optimism and humour".
