Steve and the present Mrs Earle (Allison Moorer), as Terry Wogan might say, provide a fine evening's entertainment.
However the Evening Standard finds not enough protest songs, whilst The Financial Times detects a soft centre.
FT and Evening Standard reviewers at a Steve Earle gig complaining he is not radical and political enough - truly we live in confusing times.
