The debate started with "Whatever happened to Den Hegarty?" (became a lecturer in psychology, as it happens, but still sings). It developed into Showaddywaddy versus Darts. (Sidetrack: "Ah yes, it's a lot like 'Star Trek: The Next Generation'. In many ways it's superior but will never be as recognized as the original")
Tough call? It's a decision akin to "Daddy or chips?".......

The difference being that it isn't a tough decision decision at all as The Darts win hands down. Slade vs Sweet - now THAT'S a tough decision.

Darts, Darts Darts... every time. There's no comparison. Darts are vocally superior, instrumentally superior and the best band I've EVER seen live - from the 70's til now. They write a load of there own stuff like It's Raining - self penned by Griff. Den is as nuts as ever and back giging with Darts - no one comes even close to these guys (and a gal)!
