Very late update. One of the most unusual, but also most enjoyable, gigs of last year was the (Upside) Down Home night of the Beyond Nashville season at the Barbican on 3rd November. Howe Gelb (Giant Sand) and friends, including Evan Dando, Kurt Wagner, Vic Chesnutt and surprise appearance by P. J. Harvey.
New Year Follow-up. It was while playing pool in the Belle Vue that we noticed a poster for the extraordinary Brighton and Rottingdean Seashore Electric Tramroad. Later we also saw pictures of the tramcars (known as "daddy long-legs") in The Hand in Hand. For more details visit this site.
